Global Harmony!

We are on year four now of the Summer Sounds program for kids at the Hollywood Bowl. Our first show was today and focused on Peru. We love this program! It consists of six weeks of shows and each week showcases the music and dancing and culture of a different country. This year, unfortunately, they cut it down to only three weeks, but we still love it. It has really become our favorite summer tradition.

Here's May and Buddy with the hilarious star of the show, Captain Dave. He sails the ship, the Global Harmony, around the world to the different countries we visit.

May and the Peruvian dancing girls. They always teach the kids a dance and let them parade around. This is always Maylan's favorite part.

May and Buddy showing off the craft they made. Each week before the show, they get to choose from a few different art projects related to the country. This week they each made a little notebook decorated with a fuzzy llama on the cover. They also made a little feather headress like the Incas. Maylan used her notebook to record facts about the llama. Brandon used his to color pictures of llama's, the food they eat, and where they live. We can't wait for the next show!
