Last year, one of our favorite Christmas events was the live nativity put on by the Granite Creek church near us. We went again this year and while my pictures didn't turn out all that well, the even was very well done and a highlight of our holiday season.

It all starts out with some wonderfully in-character Roman soldiers telling you in no uncertain terms which way to go! They did smile for the picture for some reason, though. Marissa, of course, was not getting anywhere near them.

She was perfectly content to get very close to all the animals, though. That was definitely her favorite part.

And Maylans. There were some baby goats that she especially loved, but I didn't get a picture of them.
This year, the camel wasn't actually in the scenes, but he was waiting for us at the end. This was actually cooler because we could get right up next to him and pet him.

Marissa had no fear of the camel and gross as it is, she was petting the camel with one hand and eating a candy cane with the other! We promptly through the candy cane away! Anyway, it was a wonderful event that celebrates Christ among so many that make no mention of Him. We loved it!
