Ducks and Geese and Hollow Trees!

We had a little family get-together last Saturday with some of Ryan's aunts and uncles and cousins and such. It was at a fun little park in Chino where the highlights for my kids were a pack of crazy geese that were roaming the area.

Marissa couldn't get enough of them. She would get right up close and and talk to them, until they would come a little too close to her. Then she would back up and look for mommy.

The geese were pretty aggressive. We went down to the edge of the pond and they came right out after us. This picture was taken right before the big brown goose started pecking at the back of Marissa's pants. She never even noticed.

I thought this picture of Maylan and Brandon was funny, with both their legs up in mid-run. They were trying to chase the geese back into the pond.

And then we had to throw a few rocks into the pond.

The two of them could have done this for hours!

Right before it was time to leave, this fabulous tree was discovered. Completely hollow inside! What fun! Strangely, Maylan was scared to go in, but Brandon just crawled right inside. In the bottom corner of the picture, you can see someone else crawling in. She wasn't scared either and went right in after Brandon.
