Pretty Birds

We spent another day at the Long Beach Aquarium, this time hanging out with all the pretty birds in the Lorikeet Forest. Other than one tiny incident of poop on the back of Brandon's shirt, we all loved the birds.

Grandpa was the most patient and therefore the first to actually catch a bird. Marissa was nervous at first and Maylan and Brandon were just jealous and wanted to hold one too.

Maylan stood perfectly still like this for a long time until the bird finally flew away. They're just not that interested unless you have food!

Brandon had the food, but didn't understand that you kind of have to lure the bird onto your hand. He just fed it.

When it was Marissa's turn to hold a cup, she got a little too curious and tried it herself instead of sharing with the birds.

By the time we left, she was loving all the pretty birds!
