Karate Kid

Brandon's been needing something exciting to do lately and when some friends of his signed up for a new karate class, we decided that was just the thing! He's only been about four times, but so far he loves it and I am very impressed. The first day, he was his usual timid self and seemed uncomfortable punching hard and yelling out, but by day two he was much more confident. He is always so focused and tries so hard to listen and follow directions.

This was his proudest moment from day three. They played a game where all the kids (about 25) ran around in a circle and then when Master Kim clapped two paddles together and it made a loud sound, they had to hit the ground fast. The last person to get down was out. Brandon made it to the end with about four other kids! He couldn't stop talking about how he won the game! It took us parents a while, but eventually we figured out that he was training our kids to get down on the ground if they heard gunfire! Kind of funny, but I guess it is practical knowledge. You never know these days!

Brandon looks great. I called Aaron over to see the pictures and Liam said that they both (Brandon and JY) got baptized. Kind of funny because they are in all white. It's always fun to do activities with friends.
