The first gift of Christmas...

Every year some friends of ours have the most wonderful Christmas party at their house. At the end of the party, the kids all gather in the living and await a special visitor who gives them each "the first gift of Christmas", as my kids call it. This year was made even more entertaining with the addition of a new Santa Clause who was pretty funny.

Santa digs into his bag and pulls out a gift for each child, calls them up one by one, and they sit on his lap and open it. Brandon got his long-awaited bullfrog webkinz and was quite pleased. He can't figure out how Santa always seems to know what he wants.

Maylan still isn't too big for this tradition. She climbed right up on Santa's lap to get her new elephant webkinz.

Poor little Marissa didn't get a present this year because Ryan thought she didn't deserve one. Actually, I just kind of forgot to get one for her. Oops. But she did get her turn on Santa's lap and wasn't scared at all. I think it was because she got distracted by the TV screen on the wall behind her, but at least it kept her looking cute for the picture!

How fun! That is a great tradition. The only picture Mckenna has with Santa is a disaster. She didn't have pants on b/c she spilled water all over them, which, that alone would make for a questionable picture...but she is crying as well. Your kids however, look great!

Aaron was jealous that Brandon got a frog webkin. You'll have to give me his user name and Aaron can send him a note. I have a new email it's cwmerkley@yahoo.com
The Christmas party looks like it was fun. But I love the live nativity.
